Trinity

God eternally exists as three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God.  There is one God.

God the Father

God the Father is completely sovereign over all things, ruling over His creation with absolute power and authority. He ordains and providentially controls all things, infallibly knows everything that will come to pass, mercifully concerns Himself with the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer and saves from sin and death all who come to Christ in repentance and faith.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God; that He is truly and eternally God, equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit; that for our redemption He took upon himself the nature of unfallen man; that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit in a unique and miraculous manner, and was born of Mary, a virgin; that in the one Person of Christ there are two natures, the Divine and the human, each distinct, and indissolubly united; that being tempted in the flesh He lived a sinless life; that He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; that the third day He arose bodily from the tomb and manifested Himself for forty days to His disciples; that in His glorified body He ascended to the Father; that as High Priest He ever lives to make intercession for His own; that according to His promise He will come again in person, visibly, with power and great glory.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, baptizes believers into the body of Christ, seals believers for the day of redemption, and is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.

Condition of Man

God created man in His own image. Man sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God. As a consequence, all human beings are born with a sinful nature, sin by choice and are, therefore, under God's just condemnation.

Salvation

Salvation is the gift of God's grace given to all whom God has elected to salvation. It includes all that God does in saving the elect from the penalty, power and presence of sin and in restoring them to a right relationship with God. As such, it is solely the work of God from initiation to completion. The regenerating work of the Holy Spirit is the cause not the result of the believer's saving faith. It cannot be gained by good works, but is a free gift for all who put their trust in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. All who repent of sin and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are forgiven, saved from the wrath of God, declared righteous before God and are born into the family of God. God's purpose for saving His elect is to display the glory of His grace in Christ Jesus.

The Church

The universal church is comprised of all true believers and is the body of Christ. We believe it is God’s will that the universal Church find expression in local churches.  The primary purpose of the church is to be a sign and an agent of the Kingdom of God through preaching the Gospel. Additionally, the church exists to glorify God through worship, to encourage one another in fellowship, to disciple believers to grow in maturity and to serve by exercising spiritual gifts. The Body of believers within the church is devoted to teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.

The Ordinances

The Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of the believer in water in the name of the triune God. We believe that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration and proclamation of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christian Conduct

We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the spiritual well being of his fellow man; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.

The Eternal State

At death, the souls of those who have trusted in Christ for salvation pass immediately into His presence and remain there in paradise until the resurrection of the body at Christ's coming for the Church, when soul and body will be reunited. We then, shall be with Him forever in glory. We also believe that at death the souls of unbelievers remain in conscious misery until the final judgment when the soul and body will be reunited and cast into the lake of fire - not to be annihilated, but to be separated from God forever in conscious punishment.

The Last Things

Jesus will personally and visibly return to earth. We believe and teach the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the endless suffering of the wicked in Hell and the eternal joy of the righteous in the new heaven and new earth.
